The New King of Soul tours Australia in November
GET READY FOR A SOULFUL NOVEMBER AS SINGING SUPERSTAR SEAL IS CONFIRMED TO TOUR AUSTRALIA FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME.
Seal will bring his SOUL tour, which is currently receiving rave reviews in the US, to Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and Brisbane in November.
Dainty Consolidated Entertainment and Warner Music Australia have also confirmed that Seal will head to Australia for a pre-tour promotional visit in June.
The singer with the soaring, husky baritone stole the hearts of music listeners around the world when he had a hit with “Crazy”, but now the triple Grammy-winner has found a new home in a collection of soul classics.
Released late last year, Seal’s new album is the chart-topping Soul, which has already sold 3 million copies worldwide. This sixth studio album was created in partnership with legendary producer David
Foster who hasn’t held back in telling the world that Soul “is the album Seal was born to sing”. Acclaimed by critics and fans worldwide for his tremendous and versatile talent as a vocalist, Seal’s
live shows are also known for their impressive production values. His Australian Soul Tour will be no exception, featuring the singer’s best known hits alongside songs from Soul combined with a dramatic and entertaining visual experience.
Soul features a dozen soul classics including “I Can’t Stand the Rain”, “It’s a Man’s Man’s World”, “Knock on Wood”, “Stand by Me” and “People Get Ready”. “These songs changed the way I looked at the world but hearing Soul also inspired me professionally,” says Seal, who admits rediscovering his voice through recording the classics he grew up listening to. “This album reminded me that people want to hear great songs and a great voice. They want to hear you tell the truth, sing a song the best way you can and do it with integrity. They naturally respond to great songs, no matter the genre.”
Born in London, Seal emerged from the house music scene in the early 90’s providing vocals and lyrics for house artist Adamski’s 1990 hit, “Killer”. He followed it up with the Top 10 debut single,
“Crazy” and went on earn critical acclaim and worldwide commercial success with hits like “Prayer for the Dying”, “Kiss from a Rose” and “Don’t Cry”. To date he’s sold more than 18 million albums.
The singer’s American tour has already garnered rave reviews, with many saying the singer-songwriter gives the audience his soul in every sense of the word.
