MTV Networks Australia and New Zealand today announced that “Ice Cream” singer Muscles, will perform live at Mount Buller for MTV’s premier winter event, MTV Snow Jam. In addition, Australia’s brightest new house music darlings, Softwar, will join the ultimate VIP winter road trip from Melbourne to Mt Buller, as support acts for Lil Jon and Muscles at MTV Snow Jam 2011.
Muscles will hit the Mt Buller stage following the action packed Burton’s Cattleman’s Rail Jam snowboard competition at the MTV Snow Jam after party on Saturday July 16. Muscles, an ongoing evolving experimental force to be reckoned with, is the musical brains behind dance-floor anthems, “Sweaty”, “Ice Cream” and the modest, “Hey Muscles I Love You”. Supporting the likes of Chemical Brothers, Daft Punk, Robyn and Architecture In Helsinki, Muscles has made his home amongst the Australian festival circuit and cult fan-base around Europe, Japan, USA and South America.
“I think I’m going to explode! I can’t contain my excitement to headline MTV Snow Jam 2011 at Mt Buller! For one night, the entire mountain will be transformed into a club, a high altitude MAMMOTH PARTY! Bodies bouncing so hot, fist pumping so hard they better have some snow machines on-hand to cool us off, we don’t want no snow melting. See you on the half-pipe!” says Muscles.
Softwar will warm up the crowds at MTV Snow Jam 2011, supporting Lil Jon at the Melbourne launch event and Muscles at the MTV Snow Jam after party in Mt Buller. Fresh from remixing Bag Raiders’ latest single and playing at the Sydney Opera House for Vivid Live, Myles Du Chateau & Jeremy Lloyd aka Softwar, will hit the stage with their unique brand of galactic dance.
In an Australian Snow Jam first, this year MTV Snow Jam has had a facelift and will be transformed into a three day party tour, incorporating the ultimate VIP Winter road trip from Melbourne, to snowy Mt Buller. The launch event with Lil Jon will mark the beginning of the ultimate MTV Snow Jam 2011 road trip, that will then see an exclusive crew board MTV buses the following day to hit the road to Mt Buller for the Burton Cattleman’s Rail Jam.
The Burton Cattleman’s Rail Jam is Australia’s premier snowboarding rail event and attracts top riders from around the country. Now in its 6th year, this annual spectacular gives Australia’s top snowboarders their one-night-only chance to ride the Cattleman’s staircase in the heart of Mt Buller’s village. Held under lights, the Burton Cattleman’s Rail Jam is the event of the season for both riders and spectators alike.
