Looper

Set in the future, this sci-fi by Rian Johnson will hook you in from the get go. Yes, its not the first film about time travel, but the premise is original and the roller coaster ride is exciting and unpredictable. It just keeps you wanting more.

Set in 2044, hitmen known as “loopers” dispose of targets sent back from 30 years further in the future. The catch is that one day they will have to “close the loop”, and eliminate the older versions of themselves, sent back as a target from the future. Confused? It only gets better.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Bruce Willis play the same character Joe. Levitt find himself in a bit of a predicament when his future self, Willis, zaps back in time with no intention of dying quietly.  And that’s just the start.

The movie may leave you a little confused at times. But it is an exciting ride. Both Gordon-Levitt and Willis are brilliant.

Instead of rolling your eyes at the thought of watching another time travel sci-fi, bite the bullet and give Looper a go. Chances are you will have no regrets. I agree with most people who have seen it - one of the most exciting sci-fi movies in a while.
