From the once underground hip hop group the ‘Peas’ journey in the music world has taken them on 14 year genre morphing sound trip that has lead us to their Fifth studio LP “THE END” (The Energy Never Dies)

After much success with their recent albums and a solid stint at solo careers it was time for the group to come back together for their new album project as united they offer a lot more as a collective, and not to mention sell a lot more.

The brain behind the Peas machine is Will.I.AM. The man is at the helm of the production and creative direction of the peas. Even though the Peas are known for there mashing of genres, some have been slow to adapt to their new 2009 electro pop sound.

‘THE END’ unlike other Peas albums is a massive party record, with mainly dance inspired feel good anthems all the way through. Lyrically for the purists it wont go down to well as it easily their worst album area, with many below par lyrics through out. Though on the other hand the production is red hot and is so infectious some people might not worry about the lyrical content. Stand out tracks are ‘Rock that Body’ and ‘Ring-a-ling’ you can really hear how well ‘Will.I.Am’ can adapt to a style of music and evolve it. While for the ladies I think they will like ‘Meet Me Halfway’ which has ‘Fergie’ serenading you through some light hearted 80’s sounding synths.

This album would have been a major risk for the peas, with them taking such a deferent musical direction but no matter what critics or people say this album will and has already sold heaps. And with the next Single is already at number 2 on the download singles “I Got A Feeling’ produced by the dance legend ‘David Guetta’ its seems the peas are not letting up.
