NEW YEARS EVE WITH IYAZ & DJ JAM

R&B Superstar presents Reggae/ R&B sensation IYAZ for the first time in Australia!

Iyaz will help kick start 2011 in Perth the right way hosting the night and performing his hit singles ‘Replay’ and ‘Solo’. Sensational West Coast DJ Jam has come along for the ride and will be performing an exclusive DJ set.

Studying engineering in college the British Virgin Islands born singer/ songwriter/ rapper recorded popular Caribbean party anthem “Island Girls” with his college friends. Which caught the attention of popular producer J.R Rotem (50 Cent, Britney Spears, Rick Ross) and Jamaican- American singer Sean Kingston. Kingston approached Iyaz through MySpace and it wasn’t long before the two became friends and Iyaz was signed to Kingston and Rotem’s Time Is Money/ Beluga Heights label.

Soon after the signing Iyaz released the infectiously catchy ‘Replay’ which peaked at #1 on the ARIA Charts and UK charts and went to #2 on the Billboard Hot 100. Proving the 22 year old had the formula for charting success. Soon after he followed the single up with thecharting hit ‘Solo’. Both singles coming from his debut album ‘Replay’.

On top of his own projects, Iyaz has featured on several other collaborations across the world of entertainment. Earlier this year, Iyaz contributed to the ‘We Are The World 25 For Haiti’ project and he has featured in the upcoming film ‘21 Coconuts’. If that isn’t all, he’s also featured on Disney’s massive tween movie ‘Hannah Montana Forever’, and its soundtrack.

His passion for music and penchant to write catchy hits proves this is just the beginning for the singer/ songwriter/ rapper.

DJ Jam is no stranger to the West Coast. The official DJ for Snoop Dogg, Dr Dre and Dogg Pound, DJ Jam has spent most of his career tearing up the decks around the world. But it’s not just DJing that Jam does best. The infamous DJ has also produced remixes for artists such as the late Notorious B.I.G, Bobby Brown, Chante Moore and of course Snoop Dogg and Dr Dre. It doesn’t matter where in the world he might be behind the decks, you can rest assured DJ Jam knows how to rock a party.

Along with these two dynamic acts R&B Superstar will also feature a line-up of Perth’s hottest acts including Jazlyn, Xzakt, B Syde and K.I.B, as well as the best party rocking DJs Slick, AngryBuda, Matty S, Brett Costello, Ruthless, Bounce and more.
