#1 Airplanes Pt 2 – B.O.B feat Hayley Williams & Eminem
There’s a lot of hype surrounding the ATL’s B.O.B at the moment and all of it is justified. This son of a preacher man is the full package, he plays a multitude of instruments, produces his own shit and is a half decent rapper to boot. Airplanes will def be his breakthrough track thanks to some sweet vocals from Paramore’s Hayley Williams and a rather nice cameo from Eminem. His debut album The Adventures Of Bobby Ray is available in stores now.

Show Your support for Nate Dogg.
Rapper Damizza has announced that singer Nate Dogg’s health has improved somewhat in recent months.  The West Coast veteran suffered a major stroke in 2007 and another one in 2008, both of which left him relegated to a wheelchair and partially paralyzed in the face. According to Damizza, Nate Dogg has been recovering and asking to listen to his old music. Because Nate Dogg’s mother will be reading the letters to him, Damizza has asked that fans keep the letters clean out of respect. Damizza also shared an address that fans can send letters to in support of the singer:

Album name change for Kid Cudi.
After a few months floating around Cudder: The Revolution of Evolution as his sophomore disc title, Cleveland rapper Kid Cudi has now changed the name to Man On The Moon II: The Legend Of Mr. Rager.
Taking to his blog, the G.O.O.D. Music artist explained what fans can expect on the new album. “[Man On The Moon II] is dark by nature and instead of bringing you into my dreams like my first album, I’m bringing you into my reality, good and bad. It will explain more of who I am as well as pushing the envelope musically.”
Cudi also stated he has scraped the collaborative theme of Cudder for a project that is more personal as he added, “A lot of you have read the news and think they know Cudi, got some slick shit to say amongst your peers or just flat out hate me but you haven’t the slightest clue of who I am. I will tell the story of Mr. Rager.”
Man On The Moon II: The Legend Of Mr. Rager is tentatively scheduled for an August release, with expected features from Chip Tha Ripper and Ratatat.

Jacko goes Cirque De Soleil
Deceased Pop legend Michael Jackson will be following in the footsteps of Elvis and the Beatles, as his music will be the subject of a Cirque du Soleil production. According to Billboard Magazine, the show will open late next year, and will be followed by a permanent production in Las Vegas in 2012, at a property owned by MGM Mirage, Inc. “Having attended Cirque du Soleil performances with Michael, I know he was a huge fan,” said John Branca, the co-executor of the estate - which will split a 50 percent share of the project and its costs with Cirque - in a statement. “We are excited to be partners with Cirque du Soleil to give Michael’s fans a truly unique way to hear, see and feel Michael’s music.” Jackson’s estate will also receive royalties for the use of his music and other assets. “Our family is thrilled that Cirque du Soleil will pay tribute to my son in such an important way,” expressed the late performer’s mother, Katherine.

Nicki Minaj speaks out.
It may seem as though Nick Minaj is all glamor, with a Barbie-inspired theme to her image. Her accented delivery and unique personality has made her one of the most talked about Rap stars of 2010, despite having never released a solo album. With a recent Fader cover-story, fans are still just getting to know the voice behind the accent, and the face behind the eyeshadow and lipstick. It has been this way since she started gaining notoriety as part of Lil Wayne’s Young Money crew. But, recently Minaj opened up to Details Magazine about life before the stardom, of the violent scenes her father once caused and of her bi-sexuality, speaking on homophobia in Hip Hop. “I think the world is getting more gay-friendly, so Hip Hop is too. But it’s harder to imagine an openly gay male rapper being embraced. People view gay men as having no street credibility. But I think we’ll see one in my lifetime,” she told the magazine, admitting that she is openly bi-sexual. She later went on to speak about her father’s abusive nature, detailing one story where she was relieved that her mother escaped from their home, after her dad set it on fire. “He drank a lot and did drugs, and he would get violent when he did. When he set fire to the house, he was attempting to kill my mother. She got out before it burned all the way down. I’ve always had this female-empowerment thing in the back of my mind—because I wanted my mother to be stronger, and she couldn’t be. I thought, ‘If I’m successful, I can change her life.
