#1 – World Go Around – Busta Rhymes feat Estelle
Once every 2 or 3 years, Busta Rhymes hits us right between the eyes with a club banger that any artist would kill for. This happens to be one of those occasions and British sweetheart Estelle lends her sexy vocals to the mix with a sharp verse and harmonies on the chorus. He may have been in the game for over 10 years now but once again Mr. Rhymes proves that he has lost none of relevance and that he can still pack a mean punch.

Ashanti’s on the Yellow Brick Road.
The befallen once glamour girl of Murder Inc Ashanti will make her stage debut playing the lead role of Dorothy in the classic musical The Wizard of Oz. The Encore Summer Stars production company signed her due to her impressive performance in the same role in the made-for-television movie “Muppets – Wizard Of Oz” back in 2005. The productions opening night is June 12th at the New York City Center theatre and it runs through until July 5th. If you can hack the 40 hrs in the air, it might make for a nice weekend getaway considering you can get a return flight to N.Y.C for $800 including all taxes at the moment.

Leaked photo may say Chris Brown’s Ass.
Last week’s preliminary hearing in the Chris Brown/Rihanna case resulted in his lawyer’s requesting that the case be dismissed. Brown’s celebrity lawyer Mark Geragos also asked called for an internal L-A-P-D investigation into how the damaging photo ended up on the celebrity website T-M-Z. That in turn could show “misconduct and or bias” on the part of the investigators and prompt him to ask for a mistrial. Geragos is due back in court May 28th with both sides preparing for an evidence hearing eight days later. Also a result of the hearing, the L-A-P-D will finally return more than a million dollars in loaned jewelry Rihanna was wearing that night, as prosecutors agreed to have the jewelry photographed for evidence if it’s needed at a trial. Donald Etra, the singer’s attorney, told the Associated Press, “Rihanna just wants the owners who lent her the rocks to get their goods back.”

Ciara loves Janet.
In an effort to make a name for herself, Ciara avoided comparisons to Janet Jackson when she first started her career. But she now says working with the pop icon would be her “ultimate dream” come true. Ciara, who’s been serving as a guest editor for the U-K Daily Star’s “Playlist” section, says, “She was my big idol growing up. J-J is amazing and no matter what, you can’t forget what she has contributed to American music.” Ciara says she’s always been a fan of the Jackson family and plans to see Janet’s big bro Michael on his anticipated upcoming 2010 world tour after he completes his 50 sold out dates at London’s O2 Arena.

DMX ordered to pay USD 240K in damages.
A New York Judge has ordered rapper DMX to pay USD $240,000 for assaulting a man at the JFK International Airport while posing as an FBI agent. In addition to these charges, the jury also held him liable for the emotional distress of the man’s mother and 12 year-old daughter. The incident, which occurred in June of 2004, finally reached a verdict after a three-day trial. The victim, Sergei Priporin, claimed that DMX used a police light and siren to force him to pull over at the airport. X allegedly assaulted him and tried to make him get out of the car by claiming to be an FBI agent.

DMX was soon after arrested by police after crashing through a gate as he fled the scene. He pleaded guilty to charges in the case and was forced to give up his Ford Expedition and $1,000 as a settlement. However, Priporin filed a civil lawsuit and demanded USD $4 million each, for his mother, his daughter, and himself.
 DMX is currently serving a 90-day sentence for theft, drug possession, and misdemeanor charge of cruelty to animals. He also faces charges of aggravated assault for allegedly throwing a dinner tray at an Arizona Tent City Jail correctional officer.

Kid Cudi talks guest appearances.
Through his blog, Kid Cudi has announced the 3 featured artists appearing on his debut album, Man On The Moon: The Guardians, tentatively set for an August release on G.O.O.D. Music/Universal Motown. Those features will be none other than label CEO Kanye West, label-mate Common, and artistic influence Snoop Dogg.
 The Cleveland rapper did not reveal any further details than that, but did admit that both UK Pop songstress Lily Allen and OutKast member Andre 3000 declined requests to appear on the album. Cudi also said his next album will be driven off of collaborations, pairing himself with an assortment of artists that inspire him. 


Nas & Kelis to divorce.
Rapper Nas and singer Kelis are headed for the divorce court after less than six years of marriage. “I can confirm that she has filed for divorce,” said a spokesperson for Kelis to VIBE magazine. “We request the media to respect her privacy during this very difficult time.” Attorney Laura Wasser filed a divorce upon Kelis’ behalf, citing irreconcilable differences. This is despite the fact that the couple are expecting a son together. It was noted in her divorce papers that Kelis, who is seven months pregnant, is due to deliver the child on July 21. “Yeah, man, I find out what it’s gonna be next week, so I’m happy,” said Nas to MTV News in February about having a child with the singer. The two artists met in 2002 at an MTV awards after party thrown by Sean “Diddy” Combs. After dating for almost two years, the two tied the knot in a small ceremony on July 28, 2003.
