JUSTICE & KAOS RE-ENTER VIA THE CHUMP ROUTE
JUSTICE & KAOS RE-ENTER VIA THE CHUMP ROUTE
Melbourne, AU May 09 – acclaimed hiphop duo release free mixtape paying homage to 90’s classic film White Men Can’t Jump
Pre Season (n). A period prior to the beginning of the regular season devoted to training and preparation.
After a brief hiatus in 2008 spent regrouping and renewing focus, ARIA-nominated JUSTICE & KAOS are back with an ace up their sleeve. The ace card you may ask? That would be the PRE SEASON MIXTAPE, themed around the 1992 classic film WHITE MEN CAN’T JUMP. Pre Season is defined as a period prior to the beginning of the regular season and the boys will not be warming the benches in 2009.
Most people became familiar with JUSTICE & KAOS in 2007 through their debut EP release TURN IT ON (Solid State/Warner) and their efforts on the infamous FOB MIXTAPE. Both achieved quite a buzz that resulted in the boys winning Best New Artist at the AUS/NZ URBAN MUSIC AWARDS, an ARIA NOMINATION and of course the FRESH OFF THE BOAT DOCUMENTARY which appeared on SBS TV. The documentary went on to win Best Short Documentary at the 2009 CHICAGO INTERNATIONAL MOVIES & MUSIC FESTIVAL and achieved a string of nominations at the SOUTH AUSTRALIA SCREEN AWARDS, as well as being shortlisted to screen at the 2008 BET URBANWORLD FILM FESTIVAL in New York.
But let’s get back to the Pre Season…
2009 once again sees J&K lace the boots up and set their campaign off with the Pre Season Mixtape, the first stage in a busy year for the boys. A highly personal record, the music is indicative of their broad taste range while the subject matter a reflection of their trials & triumphs over the past two years, giving you a first-hand view into the growth of J&K as artists. Sprinkled with samples from the film WHITE MEN CAN’T JUMP and often aligned thematically, expect an honest, rounded record that has the feel of an album whilst borrowing musically from key influences (the boys rock over beats from John Legend, Coultrain, Michael Jackson, Foreign Exchange, Outkast & Moloko to name a few).
Mixed by the group’s official DJ Simon Sez and with a guest verse from SOLID STATE RECORDINGS label mate and FOB Mixtape cohort GMC, this mixtape is an authentic showcase of JUSTICE & KAOS both as a group and individually. Also included as a bonus is the monster JUSTICE solo track “I’m A Star” (Produced by KAOS), serving as a preview of forthcoming material and a book end on the battle career of the best to have done it from this country.
Lace up your boots and fold your peaks upward as the new season is about to get underway.

No man has had as much 70-291 questions influence in as many genres and in every continent across the globe as the recently departed King of Pop, Michael Jackson. His influence both in popular culture and politics has been extraordinary- 70-431 exam questions for millions of people across the Soviet Union, he was a symbol of the power of youth and freedom of expression, with his tapes being widely bootlegged in the Communist regimes even before his videos were permitted to be broadcasted. To many around the world, he stands tall as one of the African-American pioneers to break through into mainstream American culture and popularize Black music throughout the world the way no-one else could. His countless efforts for charitable causes helped him to transcend the boundaries of language and nation. Michael had suffered greatly in life, with constant media scrutiny for his eccentricities; an unending stream of haranguing accusations which never ceased, despite the charges against him remaining unproven in courts of law. That such a great man should come under such 70-649 exam fierce ridicule and be driven to his death through stress and isolation should be a lesson to us all, and the powerful influence the media has on the lives of artists working in the music industry.
Outkast to release three albums in two years
OutKast fans have felt long deprived of new material since the 2006 release of the 2x platinum “Idlewild”, the soundtrack/companion album to the film of the same name, and 2003’s modern masterpiece “Speakerboxxx/The Love Below”, which was critically acclaimed (particularly Andre 3000’s ‘Love Below’ disc) and went an extraordinary 11x platinum. Keeping a relatively low profile since then, Big Boi has attributed the release delays of new material to problems within the record company. In an interview with MTV, he has announced that the release of his solo project, “Sir Lucious Leftfoot: The Son of Chico Dusty”, will be in the near future, followed by Andre 3000’s ase training release, and the much-awaited joint project. Fears have long been growing that the duo had broken up and would go their separate ways, but Big Boi has dismissed these concerns and told fans to expect a star-studded lineup for his new album, which will feature T.I., Too Short, George Clinton, Raekwon, and Mary J. Blige. Three high-quality albums in two years would be a challenge even for the best of artists, but if anyone could pull it off it would be this duo!
