JESS MAUBOY BREAKS INTO THE BIG SCREEN…

The Australian Idol finalist who has fast become the darling of the Australian music scene takes on a new challenge, playing to role of Rosie in the new Australian film Bran Nue Dae.

The highly anticipated film, which was formally a stage production, is set in Western Australia in the 1960s. It tells the story of an indigenous family and their life in Broome.

The film also stars Geoffrey Rush and Missy Higgins, who is also making her big screen debut.

‘Bran Nue Dae’ opens nationally on January 14 2010.
