ILLY’s ‘THE CHASE’ HITS ARIA CHARTS AT #25!

The second album from Melbourne MC Illy has made a phenomenal impact in its first week of release, landing at #25 on the ARIA Album Chart and #4 on the ARIA Urban Chart. The album received a Triple J ‘Feature Album’ slot and the hit single “It Can Wait (ft Owl Eyes)” was the #9 Most Added track to radio (The Music Network) during the week of October 25th.

The Chase is fuelled by the blazing first single “It Can Wait (ft. Owl Eyes)” (#3, #4 most played on Triple J through the first two weeks of October 2010 and added to NOVA nationally) and is about the moments that define all the emotion and uncertainty in the pursuit of happiness. Buoyed by an incredible palette of infectious production, The Chase is filled with soaring melodies (M-Phazes work on “Cigarettes”), hard hitting flow (“We Don’t Care”) and unmistakable chart topping appeal (Jan Skubiszewski with “It Can Wait”).

Having recently sold out his hometown show at The HiFi Bar, Illy continues his ascension through summer and will close out the year at the annual Pyramid Rock Festival.
