ILLNESS FORCES CHRIS BROWN TO CANCEL PERTH SHOW
ILLNESS FORCES CHRIS BROWN TO CANCEL PERTH SHOW ON HIS F.A.M.E. TOUR
Australia; Acting on strict doctor’s orders, Chris Brown has regrettably been forced to cancel his Perth show on the worldwide F.A.M.E. tour due to contracting a severe flu and bacterial infection. The concert was scheduled for today, Tuesday 3 May at Burswood Dome.
Fans of Chris Brown will already be aware that he is unwell due to his recent postings on his Twitter page. At his concert in Brisbane on Friday night Chris told the audience he was feeling unwell but still managed to put on an amazing show despite his illness which has now escalated.
Chris’ touring physician, Dr Bill Anseline says: “Chris has a severe viral illness. The virus has developed into a nasty chest infection and he needs rest. He is not fit to perform on stage nor is he fit to travel. He was devastated and wanted to push and go for it, but for Chris’ health and wellbeing I recommended that he didn’t take any risks to avoid ongoing complications.”
Managing Director of Jive Live, Daniel Pritchard says: “We are all very disappointed to have to cancel the Perth show and this decision has certainly not been taken lightly. The tour has been going exceedingly well in all cities and Chris has been receiving rave reviews for every concert. I know how much Chris loves Perth and was looking forward to performing there. Like all his fans, we wish him a speedy recovery.”
All tickets for the Perth show will be refunded. Ticketholders are advised to contact Ticketek on 132 849 to obtain a full refund.
Australia is the first stop on the worldwide F.A.M.E. tour and fans in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane have already witnessed Chris’ amazing talent, with his vocal and dancing ability impressing fans and reviewers alike.
Chris’ latest album ‘F.A.M.E.’ was released in March and the second single ‘Beautiful People’ is still in the Top 10 in the ARIA charts after seven weeks of sales. The first single ‘Yeah 3X’, a #1 airplay song, has been certified quadruple platinum and is his highest selling single in Australia to date.
Jive Live apologises for any inconvenience caused.
