HOTTEST DANCE CREWS SET FOR WORLD SUPREMACY BATTLEGROUNDS
SUNDAY NOVEMBER 21 THE PLENARY MELBOURNE CONVENTION CENTRE
The hottest international dance crews will all converge at the Melbourne
Convention Centre for the biggest hip hop dance competition in the southern
hemisphere.
The seventh annual World Supremacy Battlegrounds is set for Sunday November
21, with Melbourne playing host to the cream of the crop of street dancers
and b-boys and b-girls from across Australia, New Zealand, the Philippines,
Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.
Australia will have the biggest contingent in the competition. The best of
the best dance groups from New South Wales, Victoria, ACT, Western
Australia, South Australia and Queensland will represent the country against
an amazing field of international dancers.
Current Australia’s Got Talent winners Justice Crew got their first break at
Battlegrounds. The 2010 event will feature a host of vibrant new crews
showing and proving their skills for the ultimate respect and recognition.
Imelda Monique, this year’s URBANSTAR National champion, will be a special
guest.
“Melbourne will be hosting perhaps the best kept secret in Australia. We are
inviting everyone to witness and experience the best dance choreographies,
the creativity, ingenuity and passion of hip-hop dancers. We are ready to
unearth the next generation of dance stars in the country, but wait until
you see the raw talent from New Zealand, the finesse of the Singaporeans,
Malaysians and Indonesians, and the freshness of the Filipinos. You will be
amazed, empowered and inspired”, said World Supremacy Battlegrounds Event
Director Lester Rivera.
The World Supremacy Battlegrounds is produced by dynamic events and
production company HOOPDREAMZ, and proudly supported by adidas, Pop Lock
Records, GrooveTV.com.au, Golden Monkey, Photolistic Photography and Soul
