G Unit - T.O.S
Terminate on sight! Aah well here we go, there has been a five year gap between there debut album “Beg for Mercy” and you can tell by the hilarious name of there second album little has evolved. This follow up has casually snuck into stores without the crazy hype that usually follows a 50cent release. And is tailor made for the hardcore street listeners that like there beats banging and there flows vicious.
Once again the general 50cent holds rank, being strategically placed in tracks while the G-Unit soldiers Tony Yayo and Lloyd Banks are loyal to the end. For most part of T.O.S their rap delivery and word play has slightly improved over time. And this album’s a much better effort than the former. The strangest thing though, is complicated matter of Young Buck, who featured in the first album as a main member, but has been relegated to only featuring on five tracks over disciplinary action from 50cent. Strange indeed as Young bucks flows are easily worthy of him being seen more throughout the album.
Through out his career, some how 50 always finds pretty good no named produces that make decent efforts when it come to production for the album. That keeps in the context of the street theme of the project. Though through listening to the whole album, there is however one only track that probably has mainstream potential “I Like The Way She Do it” which is the typical sounding 50cent club banger that’s got the general where he is today. But besides that and “Rider pt 2” with a really addictive hook, the most of part T.O.S will really only appeal to hardcore fans that are down with G-Unit. They are better rappers now more than before, but that’s expected over time. But what plagues this T.O.S is the same topics G-Unit always talk about, Guns, Drugs and being Terry Tuff Nuts. G,G,G,G Good Bye.
