the other nite some random wanna be dj at one of the asian nites got abit cut at me bc i played 3 tracks which he had planned on dropping straight away

Well well Richard I’m assuming u saw her play last nite at crown?? Cos I saw that shit too!! There is no WAY that it was live. I have seen her play live before as I have played beside her at various ladies nights but when she did play live she used to read off a piece of paper.

Im assuming since she started doing the concerts her sets would have to be perfect so they’ve thought ok we’ll go one better and pre record your cd’s!! I watched in disgust last nite with 3 other people (1 other being a dj) and we could all clearly see she wasn’t playing live she played off the same cdj for about 20mins & only did 2 cd changes. There was no cross fading or volume action just alot of playing with the knobs (which no dj touches the knobs THAT much) and dancing and singing.

Also there is no way she could have been playing live because every song she was gonna “mix” only took her a whole of 2 seconds to prepare.. even if u had pre planned your set getting the song in position and speeding/slowing it down would take u a good minute or so to do, But our talented dj would have it ready in a mili second.

I am officially pissed off!!

it wouldnt surprise me if someone else did her mix cd and her concert shows bc really the crowd cannot tell if shes mixing or not

yeah i was there as well! will come say hi next time. seriously but yeah same cd..we all saw that too. and that manager of hers is is crazy. we tried to speak to her an he acted all agro man.

Can someone record her djing live and put her online im sure people will hopefully soon realise she is a “Fake DJ.” Get Perez Hilton onto it im sure he can destroys people’s carrer with his blog.

Or i hope they put her in a club where she can only use 1200s no CDJS. LOL that would be funny… i wonder if she would even know how to turn on a turntable..

My friend and i bought her latest cd as a joke. The mixing is terrible (Anyone remember the automix feature on the DJM300s and CDJ100s, i think thats what she is using) and The thank yous at the end of her cd are a joke.

ive seen it right infront of me when she has played, she reads of a piece of paper and when she does mix its fucken horrible which is why i think her mix cd was done by someone else and her concert shows are all pre-mixed by someone else

seriously who mixes from 85bpm to 125bpm and then back down to 88bpm non stop in a set?

And there you have it...no doubt she would have been the highest paid DJ on this gig ( there we’re djes like mark john etc...on the bill). She does what she does and is very successful at what she does. Even if its canned or eyr candy or whatever. And I was there as well - the energy she derived from the punters (not us djes and musical purists...I’m talking about the people who paid $25 to get in) was great - definitely worth price of her booking....

I’ll start getting insulted when she compares her mixing ability to Sef, or compares her musical knowledge to me or Ken Walker...but until then as long as she markets herself and is successful without denigrating others, then all power to her…

Speaking to Mark John about this (he’s someone who’s opinion i value) he reckons her ‘product’ and ‘presence’ are fabulous. His words not mine (but i fully agree)
