thats dope… and its usb so u dont have to go out and get a new player like with blu-ray, dvd or cd… but sucks if u got an ipod cos u probably cant transfer it straight to ur ipod unless u got some usb adaptor that allows it.

thru your PC or mac you can transfer it straight to your iPod… no sweat.

yeah i know, but what im saying is at the moment theres no way to put it straight onto the ipod, still got to go thru the comp to get it on, just like cds, so no real change… soon we’ll be seeing DDA adaptors cos its an easily adaptable format bein usb that can work with mp3 players…

I guess that’s an Apple issue then, being that they use proprietary connectors for everything.

so its basically a flashdrive with music on it and album artwork and shit like that right?

how much is that gonna cost and how big is the flashdrive?

for some reason, i’d prefer CDs still

yeah who wouldnt lol… but dont u think that some ppl would have said “id prefer cassettes still” when the cd came out? once the medium becomes more common and worldwide ull be seeing car stereos with usb ports, home stereos with em, tv’s already have usb ports… seems like a natural progression in the computer age whereas when cds first came in it required new players in the market.

i would like to see the dda become less usb drive looking lol, looks like they just put a tag on the end of a flash drive… spruce it up a bit and make sure the content is locked in case someone is in dire need of a flash drive and decides to wipe the dda content.

ppl got flash drives on their key rings, imagine ppl walking round with a massive set of keys with 10 ddas on it.. lol

well there already is home stereos and car stereos with usb ports so i guess it all may be changing soon

thats why i’d still prefer CDs, not because of the medium or issues with USB players, its just .. i dont know, the image of it, to have a CD collection, records collection (even cassette collection) seems to be worth something rather than .. a bunch of USB sticks with a tag on em if you know what i mean?

dude there are a shit load of home and car systems which have usb ports on them

i can see it now, it will prob be alot more cheaper to go out and buy urself a 16gig flashcard and dump ur own downloads on it then going out and prob spending 5 times the amount
