This whole revival of the waltz thing fascinates me. My mid-20s cousins told me they’re going to check out a sold-out classical concert at the Telstra Dome, so I got intrigued, and found out there’s this whole worldwide phenomenon going on that I’ve not noticed. This dude’s selling out stadiums all over the world, to crowds that are mostly 50 plus, and regenerated interested in classical music in general. He’s got DVDs out, over 20 cds, one of which went over 8 times Platinum.
BUT, and this is the part that cracked me up..... He performed without his orchestra for the first time in Australia in September last year, and where did we put him? Eastland Shopping Centre in Ringwood....Sounds about right to me.... Tuscany, Vienna, Ringwood
Granted it’s different, and he is doing a massive concert later this year, but still, the thought is funny to me
