We’re Aussie, we clearly don’t come from the Bronx… yet we still like to consider ourselves part of the Hip Hop culture and will dress accordingly.... to an extent.

Where do we draw the line between making the statement of who we are and being blatant try-hards?

Also what do you consider to be our own style here in Australia/NZ?

I don’t dress hip hop at all. I don’t like guys dressing all gee’d out either. Big baggy ass jeans, bandanas, New Era hats turned to the side… Ugh. Its so over the top. You don’t have to dress a certain way to be ‘hip hop’. I like being a little more subtle; have your own style but rock some cool sneakers, because you gotta have cool sneakers.

I just recently got a ‘Lil Wayne for President’ shirt, thats as hip hop as I get.

My bub daddy sometimes dresses in hip hop look but his got a few clothes from a shop here called YD (mens clothes shop) and i think he looks heaps hotter and the clothes are allot nicer than hip hop styled clothes

He gets his hip hop clothes sent from rellies in africa, america and some from sydney

ummmm im sorry to say that it may be american or wat ever u wanna call it but i rock the long tee’s look but im not a small guy ya know and shopping in aussie for someone of my build is not easy cause the average store like glue and general pants stock a xl that will fit like one of my arms or a 14 yr old school boy, and yes i rock new era’s not tryin to be a gee it suits me better than a trucker so i think it all comes down to personal preference. like i collect sneaks and caps But thats hip hop, its how u rock em that makes your own style, im sick of seeing dudes get all dress up and then rock crusty ass sneakers THAT IS JUST WRONG like seriously buy some cleaner or wash them or sumthing.

what are peoples view on the tea scarf things?

p.s long tee’s are comfortable and they hide ur gut so dont hate hahahahahahahahahaha

Each to their own Jerome, if you feel confident rocking a certain style then you should go for it. smile I just prefer people looking nerdy haha.

However, if you let your ass hang out the top of your jeans, we can’t be friends raspberry

Klasik dont even know why you tryna defend yourself with these homos. To each their own. Some cats suit that tall tee look some dont. Yeah that LRG hoodie got played out but i like some LRG shit. I like New Era but i dont like baggy jeans i prefer the leg a bit skinnier so you see the freshness of the footwear cos everybody who loves hip hop knows its about the shoes. I like air forces but i like dunks and blazers too. Shelltoes are my all time favourites theyre about as hip hop as you can get! I love rocking hoodies with the hood up and baseball cap on. Hip Hop style is just way too fresh. Its more embarassing to me too see all these bandwagon kings rocking that palestinian scarf and those gay ass fluoro kungfu shoes.

Looks like you’ve met your match Jay. Maybe you two should be best friends, I’ve never met anyone who loves shoes like that homo. If Jays house was on fire, he’d save his shoes before anything else. If Jay had to save me or his shoes from burning, he’d save his shoes and let me die hahaha. Hmm I shouldn’t laugh, cos its true downer

Hey Jerome have you found those Blazers for me? I didn’t go back to check the colourway.
