There are lots of new oz urban tracks coming out or due out real soon. The quality, as in overall production is at a high standard in my opinion, we have really steped up our game, artist and producers eg X n Hell, Styalz Fuego, Israel, Neska etc over the last year or so have managed to get their quality of music at an international standard. There is proof of this as many times ill be bumpin to new oz trax in my car and my friends comment on how their feelin the tracks and only to be mega surprised when i tell em this is all local stuff, they think its stuff straight from the states and cant tell the diff. What do you guys think, are we at the internatinal level yet, can djs finally start to really push these track in the clubs??

Lets discuss.....

I too can’t get into locally produced R&B;… hiphop and soul is where it’s at in Melbourne.... and that’s a better thing in my opinion. Australian R&B;seems to be struggling to establish its own identity, whereas Oz hiphop is pretty unique, and soul music is soul music, doesn’t matter where you’re from.

And deep in my heart
The answer, it was in me
And I made up my mind
To define my own destiny

I agree, Nick.

That said, Kaylan’s “rock me all night” is one of my favourite tracks ever - any genre. If we had more stuff like that we could definitely play with the big boys smile
