I could have named the thread “Xecutioner’s Fitness Thread”, but while the man may be an athletic adonis as far as I know, I think he already has enough threads named after him.
.
This thread is for all gym junkies, runners, swimmers, weekend warriors, haki sak-ists, ultimate frisbee champions and we may as well allow golfers too
.
If it helps with your fitness then write about it here. Tell us what you do, how fast you go, how far you go, how heavy you go, who you beat and who you’ll beat another day. Let us know your goals, and how you’re progressing, or how funny it was when your uncle was trying to teach you to surf.
Hummmm, well my goal is to get to a ripped 100kg. Some guys want to get to riddiculous sizes, but i don’t have the time or the money to be consuming that many calories, so i think i’ll stick with a goal weight in mind, then just try and rip up as much as possible. Because i’m an ectomorph (hard gainer), i limit the cardio as much as possible and hit the weights on a 5 day split. Appart from my regular meals, i have two meal replacements a day which are the CNP Pro-Peptides Mass Building Forumla (I would recommend this to EVERY hard gainer. The best MRP i’ve ever taken period.), plus a slow release protein shake at night about half an hour before bed. Can’t remember the name of it, but i find it does the job. So altogether, i have about 6 fairly high calorie meals a day. Probably getting around the 4000 calories a day mark, not sure, i’ve given up on calorie counting.
Right now, i’m at the 95.7kg mark. I can still see my abs, and i’m still a 32in waist, which i’ll endeavor to keep till i hit the big tripple figures. If my abs turn into a 1 pack, or i can’t fit into my pants anymore, i’ll start my cutting phase early. Another goal of mine was to get my bench press up to 100kg, as i seriously suck at bench. I’m hitting 95kg right now with a spot, and i’m not sure whether my spot is bicep curling the bar and just not telling me to make me feel better about myself or not. lol. I think my first set on 95kg is fairly solid, but my 2nd… Maybe not so good. Getting there though. I’m squating 120kg, hopefully i’ll break that tonight. I was deadlifting, but i try and either squat or deadlift per program to not put too much strain on my core.
Things that i’m not happy with and really want to improve are the width of my arms, but it seems genetics is to play in that. I’m doing more reverse curl type exercises to hit the brachialis muscle but i’m not seeing amazing results. :( My calves. Ugh. I think most guys have the problem of calves that refuse to grow. So depressing. Abs. I want wash board abs but refuse to work for them. lol. I’ve got okay abs, but nothing amazing. Now that summer’s coming up, i’ll have to force myself.
I’d love some advice on what you can do to improve your fitness when you (literally) have no time. I work and I’m a mum and I have a hubbie who tries very hard, but I seem to be busy all the time, and at the end of the day I just fall into bed, totally stuffed. I know its probably a common whinge, and people will say I’m just not committed, but my first commitment is to my family. I don’t want to have the best body on the beach, but I’m sick of feeing like I have the worst…
I know jack all about fitness when it’s in relation to anyone but myself. lol. How much time do you think you could allocate per day? If none, maybe just get some weights you could strap to your ankles, watch what you eat, and try and walk everywhere. lol.
I really got no idea man! Spunks would probably be able to give you all sorts of advice considering she’s got a little one.
Also, that feeling crap about your body doesn’t change incredibly when you physically do. Sometimes your mindframe stays the same.
poppa u can reach 100 bro man i cant remember when i was hundred i had to be 14 - 15 almost six foot benching 115kg stupid youth footy programs i regret training so hard when i was young cause now i can barely do 80kg, my goal drop back down to 120kg and gain some of my strength back and just increase my overall fitness level i quit smoking today so thats a start i guess
Yeah man, i’ve been concentrating on the gym over the past month real hard and have made some solid gains. My goal at the start of the year was to crack 100 by year end, but i’ve been distracted all year and didn’t think i could make it… till now....
We’ll see. I’m armed with the best meal replacement on the market in my opinion. Worst comes to worst, i could just take creatine and water load to put on a couple of extra kilos. lol.
You know what’s the worst? I used to play ball before i started training. I was around 60kg. I played ball again the other day and had serious issues with switching directions. Trying to stop my body weight and go in another direction is more difficult than i remember.
Well done!! I used to be so anti smoking, but then I started. I quit four months ago after years of smoking and its great!! Its tough to do but it is SO worth it. When I do get the chance to do some exercise, I can actually breathe (who knew?!) and when I get a cold I don’t get a chest infection. I haven’t been keeping track of how much money I’ve been saving, but when I reach a year I’m going to spoil myself with something I want.

That’s a real shame - I know this chick who has been training her ass off (literally) and looks awesome - I feel envious when I see her, but I don’t know if she feels any better about herself than she did before. I guess its hard if you go into it thinking that you’ll feel better about yourself, and then have that not happen.
But the endorphins can make you feel better in general anyway I guess.
creatine HAHAHAHAHAHAHA man this stuff is leathal to anybody who has to live with the person taking this hahahahahahaha its worse than eating indian food hahahahahahahahahhaa
