For me, no one comes close to Jean Grae. I love Trina, for novelty reasons, but Jean Grae is amazing and she’s a really lovely, funny person too - which makes her music even better, imho.

I do love Lauryn Hill as well, but Jeanie is my #1.

i am a big big fan of Psalm One, check her out. bahamadia and jean grae are my next faves. need to listen more to eternia, from what ive heard she’s dope. im also diggin amanda diva. definitely mc lyte and roxanne shante for the old skool.

i have to check out invincible. on the more commercial tip trina and rah digga are definitely up there for their nastyness on the mic.

There was a chick called Storm who featured on some 2pac tracks she was sick but then she disappeared for anyone who wants to check that tracks out (which uve probably heard but not known who she was) they are: Tradin War Stories Thug Passion and Run tha Streets - Run the streets would have to be my favourite!
