SO I’ve been on a few first dates in my time and most are pretty cruisy and easy going- easy to arrange a time and what we are doing etc, I sometimes even look forawrd to it!

BUT I am having a hard time with this one, I have a person who is interested, number given and then he msged to request for us to meet..oh wait first the voice mail (I was busy and didn’t respond) three days later I get another call; which came the request.
So yeah cool said I’m more than happy to meet up for a coffee say next week (not on the weekend so obvious I thought that its not going to go anywhere than right in the friends zone)
So I get a msg on the weekend saying he’s looking forward to seeing me..so where and when are we meeting..I didn’t respond until a couple of hours later, but before I did he had just sent one again saying.’...where (....?)’
Now, I’m not one to jump into conclusions or pre-empt what someone is going to be like; but now I don’t even want to go!

Is it rude to cancel on a first date? Or is it better just to suck it up and go?

eeeeeeeee HAHAHAA auds I have one of those atm.

Paranoia sets in if I don’t msg him back instantly AND no shit, he msgs me 20 times a day.

I have avoided the date as much as I can lol he completely turned me off by being so full on so quick when we had only met once.

I am just steering clear so I think u should too. We don’t do being smothered!!!!

Does anyone have any pointers on how to let him down gently without hurting his feelings??

I would go but I don’t like guys trying to get with me I don’t like. I’m too damn honest- and have said things like ‘your not going to try and kiss me are you..’ and then its just an awkward situation.

hmmm i’ve had one or 2 like this… imo, the way someone acts in the fragile first stages can manifest itself into big bad problems when they get actually get comfortable with you..

a) a stalker type

b) Overly keen (read desperate)

Given that you are hot (I can say this cause I’m secure in my marriage - and my wife no longer reads Grooveon ) and a very level headed person I would piss him off and continue to pursue Astro....

in the ‘meansest thing you have ever done’ thread i talked about the guy who moved out on me in the middle of the night and abandoned me completely ... he was a dj…

the club i used to work at there was another dj who used to try and humiliate me in front of other coworkers, used to treat me and other girls VERY inappropriately (lets just say he’s a hands-on kinda guy) whilst we were working or after our shifts if we were hanging around, made lewd comments about me in front of other people

but then again nick (ant-1) would have to be one of the sweetest guys i’ve ever had the pleasure of spending time with so i try not to generalise haha

there’s good and bad musicmen!! lol
