yes its a good way to lose money but if ppl have the leak tracks they be getting some ot product so they start salivating lol .. btw i copped two more leaked tracks of iz
ive got so much of hes stuff from remix compilations which get released on the net, prob the best thing for him
-
the internet is the greatest way for artists to make them selfs known and the best way for them to make money
-
i know that sounds funny but alot of ppl hear these tracks and then go to the shops to buy em, everyone on the net aint all cheap
...and we wait for the day for australian labels to realise this…
thats why a few of us Sydney DJs are taking matters into our own hands n doin what the labels arent… watch in the coming months for an update on that hehe..
90% of the artists i discover that are low key i find from leaked tracks. Although they don’t have a big fan base, they’d have none if they didn’t have leaked tracks. For example, i’d have no friggin idea who Nasri was if i didn’t hear the leaked version of “click click click”. Now there’s remixes all over the net for it. A lot of R&B;heads actually know his name now.
aussie record companies are like years behind the rest of the world
-
i remember 5 years ago when they use to help the djs out by sending them brand new promo’s which was great but now they just stopped that completely
-
then they wonder why djs dl there music and make a massive fuss about it
-
if it wasnt for the internet the record companies would have a even harder job tryin to get there artist out there
