Last year we did a smaller room and sold out (700) so this year we thought we’d be a bit more ambitious...I don’t wanna sound like a wanker but seriously I reckon if we sold tickets for 2012 at the 2011 event everyone would have bought one...It was such a magical night mate - The vibe, the room decor, the amazing sound system, the weather, the crowd - I dont know how but everything just came together.......The only bad thing is a 1am licence but we’d arranged free entry into Silk road for the after party which wasnt too bad.....
If people recollect this years event at the end of this year I have no doubt we’ll crack over 2000 people (I guess a lot can happen between now and New Year 2012) but its just my gut feeling...I know your not a fan of NYE but seriously it was one to remember.
The Alumbra team, I have to say (and I’m not including myself in this) really know how to throw a party...Consider this..
Boxing Day (without regular band) full house and rocking by 8pm (full credit to Grooveon for this event)
NYE - Crazy (both at Alumbra and Shed 14)
NYD - Bob Sinclar - sold out over 2000 people
2nd Jan (with no promo) full house and people waiting till midnight to get in (we close at 1)
Heaven knows what would have happened if we had consistently good weather.....
