Did anyone catch this - what were peoples comments.

My own view is that is glamorized drug use and that Ben is an anomoly- A perfect athelete and a drug addict - Not many mere mortals could do both.

I felt for his dad and family and come of the scenes of him twitching etc...were a bit scary.

He also still came across to me a smug and unapologetic for the most part (actually its some of the traits in him I find sadistically endearing)

I still cannot understand how he never tested positive during his sporting days.

This coming week should be intersting (Mad Monday for clubs who finish up outside the finals) - I might have to head out to Eve :)

i think that friend of his dad’s got it right in saying ben had no inner peace.  nothing grounding him or compelling him to give of himself to others rather than being indulgent.

to me he looks permanently wired or hyped...he doesn’t look like he could be calm.

all he seems to have learned from his experience is that he could still play footy and earn big $$’s but people who could end his career didn’t approve of the lifestyle so he’s had to appease them and prove that he’s doing something about his problem, which even he doesn’t really seem to understand just yet.

the vid of him partying, clearly already off his head, and flashing the bottle of grange pissed me off as well as the omission to spending $10k on drugs in one weekend.

his whole dialogue was like bragging.  kind of similar to when someone boasts about almost being caught!

i don’t think he’s hit rock bottom at all and he seems to be someone who probably needs to to get the lesson.

i was thinking about watching this but at the end of the day i really dont care what has happened to him over hes life.

i saw a interview with hes dad on today tonight and that was tough, i felt for him

with this tool he’ll probably end up losing hes life in the next year.

i wonder if this will make others start up drugs again after watching the things he did when he was in party mode?

I didn’t watch it as I cant’ stand the little snot.
Can’t believe he was ever allowed back into the league after his WC stint.

BUT a friend of mines told me he’s gay. Confirmed thru a friend of a friend. But yes- g.a.y. makes sense if he felt he cldn’t handle the pressure of the league and just is wanting to expose himself to other methods of distraction from his true soul. but 5/50 Don’t know if I believe he is gay....though he would fit in at Mardi Gras.

Retrospectively I think liked the show. It certainly highly the DNA of a self confessed vain, driven, cheeky, arrogant drug addict.

I reflected on a friend I had. Similiar DNA - Party animal spirallling out of conttrol from thu - sun but gym junkie and health fanatic on Mon - Wed.

The said friend would have drawn parallels to his life and Bens and would reinforced his fight against an addictive personality and a scary addiction
