Rapper Kid Cudi was arrested in New York on Friday, on charges of criminal mischief and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
According to a report from UK newspaper The Guardian Cudi, whose real name is Scott Mescudi, allegedly tore the door of a woman’s flat off its hinges and smashed a mobile phone in the incident. The controlled substance was reported to be liquid cocaine.
Kid Cudi made it to his scheduled appearance at the Bonnaroo festival in Tennessee on Saturday despite the arrest, telling fans he “really wanted to be here tonight”.
