Yeah I was reading in the news that Dana White thought the crowd in Australia was a very MMA education one, in that we appreciated when the fighters executed certain manouvers during each fight. Was well worth the $50 ticket price. I’m sure the next time UFC hits Australia ticket prices will be doubled off the bat. Even though he lost, I still think Michael Bispin is the man!!

true that bisbing is the man, i reckon if he just tighten up in the last section of each round he would of won… i saw an interview with dana saying he would like to make it an annual thing and he wants to go to melbourne next.. but the melb gov has to pass some type of stupid legislation to allow it… get your shit together melb.. and next time bring down anderson de silva an jon jones smile

Premier John Brumby stated that UFC, well ‘cage fighting’ is barbaric and won’t be coming to melbourne becuase of the violence. Although the state government wil spend 3 million on Tiger Woods…

good, i want it back in Sydney so i don’t have to travel to see it.  cheese

I watched it last night on one hd. Not a fan of the Australian edit. Might download the US version. I wanted to see the proper walkouts and intros for all the fights! Also wanted to see the post fight interviews.

Georgy was REALLY impressive. That guys has a ground game like no other. Good cardio too. So happy to see him win. Bisping cracked me up when the crowd booed the shit out of him and he didn’t care.

Good to see the crowd really get into it! It no doubt left an impression on Joe, Mike and Dana. All of them commented on how electric the crowds were. Dana seemed really impressed at the post fight conference with how things went.

I initally thought stephan bonar and krystof (can’t spell it) should have been a no contest due to an illegal strike (headbutt), but apparently there’s a rule that if there’s an illegal strike in the third round that ends the fight, it goes to the score cards???? I don’t get it. If you won the first two rounds, whats stopping you from booting someone’s head while they’re on the ground in the third round to take the fight?
