I know it’s pretty old and i dont recall if it was brought up on the old forum, but im curious about peoples’ thoughts on this album.... There’s enough talent on it to have made it a hit, but it just seemed to have missed the mark. I mean it’s got Snoop, Saadiq, Quik, Teddy Riley, Pharrell, and Charlie Wilson all contributing to one albm, you’d think it’d go somewhere… did people just not like it?

I concede, I dont really listen to a lot of what Snoop says, but I like the sound of a lot of the album particularly Sets Up and Cool (Teddy nailed the 80s rnb feel on that)

loved the album esp hollywood nights,waste of time,cant say goodbye and for some reason my medicne snoops wierd attemp of making a country song .. but these album just went of the heads of the hardcore snoop fans cos he went all electific on this one and these days hiphop has no pateince or doest wanna let artists grow ...

if this is the album where he sings on it then no dice at all for him

yes this is the album he gets his tpain on sef!! lol but i do like .. going commercial wasnt for him well tru but we cant have snoop like he was when he relesed doggystyle he aint be blockhuggin the streets anymore

each they own lol .. well i must admit as a snoop fan i was shocke to hear him going left of frild but i got used to his new styles likei sed he aint gonna sound the same as he was whn he did doggystyle he aint the hardcore crip gangbanger no more

true but thers the talkbox whoch is used to great affect by roger troutman and bosko the use it for talking parts kills it ie world wide remix bosko uses ity it sounds off the kiltewr lol ps t-wayne are coming ie t-pin and lil wyne re working on lbm so watch out

For me there is only 1 track which gets my attention & that is ‘cool’

like the name suggest very cool indeed, maybe im a bit biased as i love prince & its blatantly obvious where the influence for this track came from

rest of the album is just filler as far as im concerned.

I dont know with snoop, days re gone where i would hope his next album would sound like doggystyle, ive conceded that will never happen, however at least come up with one solid album where every track is a banger ala doggystyle.

Snoop is the new nate dogg, rubbish albums amazing cameo’s

dunno but i wouldnt dare put anyone else in the same sentence as roger troutman when ur talking about talkbox

i aint putting snoop in the sme leauge as roger troutman . he is the king no doubt ... and t-pain and snoop and a lot of the newer artists use autotune not the voice box.. like i sed in the old forum if u dont how to sing the voice box wont help ur arese cos if u cant hold a note u will sound like a cat dieing .. so tpain and snoop are doomed lol
