It makes me sick how people, esp credible artists, are taking advantage of him. To the point of bringing him up on stage, just to take the piss out of him. Sure he’s terrible, but he’s giving it a go, and probably thinks he’s doing well. It feels to me that rather than help him develop, people use him to make themselves feel like they’re “real”

Now look, my friends and I have gotten a good laugh out of Bangs and his courting game. As a result it’s probably hypocritical of me to say this but I have been a little bit uncomfortable with the way he has been repeatedly set up for public humiliation all under the guise of ‘helping a brother out’. This latest incident has been the worst.
As for the night he got dragged up on stage, what irked me about this was the pretense that it was done for him, to give him a bit of shine and a leg up. Hmm. To me that whole stunt smelt of people piggybacking a meme and using it for their own self-serving agendas.
Manjula - im glad im not the only person that feels like this. No doubt the dude is good for a laugh - from the videos i’ve seen he acts liek a goose. But he also seems pretty sincere in that he seems to believe he’s good. So yeh - people are giving him his 5 seconds for their own amusement, but what’s gonna be sad is when noone gives a shit anymore and he goes back to being another refugee from Sudan, and he’s left wondering what happened. Hopefully there’s someone out there with some influence that can set him on the right track.
