Okay so part two of my travel question, thought it needed a different thread.

There are a fair few volunteer programs around for Asia, South America and Africa. All with different experiences avaliable etc..

I was wondering if anyone has used a particular group or where (apart from Google and doing reasearch about each company) is a good place to start looking?

Also what should I look out for when selecting a program...?

Thanks Asanka,

I was looking into; SPW Australia, OWH or i to i..  the prices vary so much additional country fees etc seem to also.
The programs all seem quite staple and I’m not sure if there is one which has a bit more definition to what the objective is.
I don’t want just a holiday in a shared dormitory with ‘happy holiday’ type photos..

- some food isn’t included in some packages, you have to wonder how remote these villages are.

So...would be great to get a recommendation!  lol I feel lost.

Hey Auds, my flatmate has done a months volunteer work in Sri Lanka and also in India. I’ll find out the details and his thoughts and post them up here. He is currently in the Phillipines so I’ll post when he gets back.
