Funny shit...DRUG SCENE IN RNB CLUBS IS MASSIVE!!!
I cant speak for other states but i can safely say one of the strong points of the RnB scene in melb is that there is next to no drug culture associated with it.
Thats not to say no one in the scene doesnt take drugs, cause i know that isnt the case, but i also know that ive never seen anyone OD at an rnb night & in the 102394890238402398 nights ive gone to over the years i may have only been offered drugs to purchase once or twice. I think this is something promoters but mainly punters in the rnb scene should be quite proud of, that our ‘scene’ hasnt been tagged troublesome in the eyes of the media, not just in terms of drugs offenses but generally in terms of behavior or any other misdemeanors, most of the ‘trouble’ nightspots aren’t rnb nights. The irony is of course that ‘rnb or rap musc’ is viewed as the music which advocates drugs & violence whilst our scene relatively speaking is almost immune to it. Maybe im walking with blinkers on, but thats my view, anyone else agree or disagree???
Yep - i agree completely. I can only remember a couple of occasions where ive been offered to buy stuff or asked where someone can buy stuff in my 11 years of clubbing. Yes there are people that do take stuff, but its definitely not as entrenched.
I think the major difference is that drugs and dance music go hand in hand and have done since day 1. I’d even go so far to suggest, without any in depth knowledge, that many dance music promoters have a vested interest in some form of dealing that goes on, but that may be a naive presumption on my part. This isnt the case in our scene, and unlike dance music, the music and substances just arent dependant on eachother. So this dude is just talking out of his ass.
As for the violence i havent seen a lot of that either over the years, but that depends heavily on where you go i guess. There are some places which promote specific to certain ethnic groups that have more violent incidents than others, but i dont think thats related to the music thats played at those nights…
there isnt much in our rnb scene but
-
l’ll tell u that the drugs are there and the ppl who do sell them in the very clubs we work in
-
even some of our mates that we do know try n sell them to randoms in the clubs
-
i guess i see things other ppl dont see
-
as for the rave scene lol well thats another story, i think the police are doing a good job with busting ppl but i dont think its the best they can do
-
they should fine the promoters heavily when they bust these idiots
-
and as for the violence thing, we dont get that much down here bc we do have strict door policys like at seven which is great
-
i would rather a safe club with lesser numbers then a unsafe club with a full house which some promoters do down here just to make a extra $$$
Isn’t is also about the type of drugs being used? And what impact that has on people’s behaviour/aggression? Complicated of course by putting alcohol in the mix…
Hell yeah drugs are there!!! You’d be suprised, very very very suprised! I’m not talking about recreational users!
really?
but going back to my point, i dont see kunts OD’n & people selling the stuff in front of my face.
i know kunts will go to the bathroom & cut up some poor quality habib inc rack but its not that blatant & our scene isnt synonomous with drugs.
maybe im wrong, im a good boy who plays christian rap tracks in the corner
they sell the drugs in the toilets or wait outside of the toilets and attack everyone then
-
most of the sad kunts i know who do this shit start of in the carpark
lol christian rap hahah terrible
-
ive got a few ppl kicked out of a certain club bc they approached me and asked if i wanted some p’s or coke lol haha fuken idiots
