NewBreedMC (aka Omari Parsons) is an underground hip hop MC best known for his diverse array witty and intelligent lyrics. NewBreedMC grew up in Brampton a suburb 20 km west of Toronto. NewBreedMC spent most of his rap career rhyming in the basement of his high school friend Kevin “Brebbz” Williams of KLMtertainment. As time went by, life got real, as it so often does, this forced NewBreedMC to focus his attention on his education and family duties and essentially put the pen and paper down.

After taking a 3 year hiatus from music at a very crucial time, NewBreedMC decided 2010 would be the time to make a return to the hip hop scene and make the most of his God given ability to spit hot fire. Most recently NewBreedMC has joined forces for his forthcoming debut mixtape “Silent Slang” with producer Decision of Alpha Production, who has done work with Singer “Andreena Mills” and Underground Hip Hop sensation “Street” as well as other of well known artist in North America.

Its not very often that a rapper can come along and blend raw underground rap skills with commercial appeal that transcends cultural and social barriers, but NewBreedMC is definitely one of those MC’s cut in the mold of a Mos Def or Black Thought. Holding true to the core essence of Hip Hop that started out in the Bronx, NewBreedMC can spit a rhyme to have the back packer bopping their heads and at the same time he is well enough in tuned to social issues and political agendas that his words could start a small revolution.

The Black Eyed Peas events combines futurism with old-fashioned showbiz. First came the beams of light, every one tracing an ellipse on the stage. Still as statues, dressed in robot gear, the four Black Eyed Peas appeared from trapdoors at the start of their Wednesday night concert at the Prudential Center in Newark. Rapidly, the set turned into an enormous motherboard, with flashes of computer green dancing across its diodes. Acrobats in white, each with replica speakers attached to their limbs, became rotating stereos. Afterward, rapper Taboo took a ride on a neon-lit motorcycle, suspended by cables high above the floor. The recent news which was announced that Black Eyed Peas hit I Gotta Feeling now formally holds the title of the most-downloaded digital song ever, after being officially purchased more six million times or about once every five seconds since its release. The Black Eyed Peas are planning the release of a new studio album, as per the announcement the group made following a concert in New York on July 30. Called The Beginning, the album is expected to release before the end of 2010. Following a performance in New York as part of the Good Morning America Summer Concert Series, will.i.am said the group had been “up late last night recording.” He later exposed the name of the album to an AP reporter, saying, “It symbolizes growth, new beginnings and starts, fresh new perspective.” Halifax’s biggest concert of the summer may not have turned much of a profit. An expected 20,000 people turned out at the Halifax Common on Saturday to see the Black Eyed Peas. You’d never know the Black Eyed Peas have been on tour for almost a year, given the verve and vigour the quartet brought to the kickoff of their two-night stand at the Air Canada Centre Tuesday night. Witnessed now by nearly a million fans, The E.N.D. World Tour, named for the group’s 13-month-old fifth has been rolling since September. will.i.am, Fergie, apl.de.ap and Taboo appeared none the worse for wear. Further dance-pop oriented than their funky hip-hop beginnings, they are a smart, playful unit. Independently, will.i.am and Fergie shone while apl.de.ap and Taboo’s solo forays amounted to break dancing and flying over the arena on a tricked-out motorcycle throughout an insignificant song.

On Tuesday night The Black Eyed Peas were all a-glitter when they rocked bodies at the Air Canada Centre, playing the first of two Toronto dates of the group’s The E.N.D. World Tour 2010.Fergie, Will.i.am, Taboo and Apl.de.ap (real names Stacy Ann Ferguson, William James Adams, Jr., Jaime Luis Gomez and Allan Pineda Lindo, Jr.) filled over two hours with their arsenal of hits, appearing bigger than life in amazed outfits and enclosed by dancers as LED screens displayed computer-generated imagery in the background. The Black Eyed Peas tried to make “Bing Bing” a catchphrase like “bling bling” at a personal concert held for Microsoft employees Friday in Atlanta at the Microsoft Global Experience conference. Bing is the search engine Microsoft launched last year to compete with leading player Google. To try to replace the general use of “Google” as a verb, Chief Executive Steve Ballmer has been inserting the verb “Bing” into many of his speeches. The pop band Black Eyed Peas are recently trying, too, at least at this company event, which looks like more entertaining than the My Space party in the movie “Funny People” with James Taylor and Adam Sandler. From his early days with N.W.A. to his subsequent solo career, Cube’s music has been blamed for a lot of bad stuff: inciting violence, racism, homophobia and sexism to name some.
