Just thought id post a topic that i am heading West in a few weeks, i shall be based there working on a Fly In Fly out of Perth Roster.. While i am in Perth i plan on Shaking things up with the Perth Scene, Recruiting more Groovers hopefully to get the perth forums a lil busier!

Motley Burches Know Tour WA!!!

Meet Motley… Hash Browne… Bobby Dazzla… Stephen Hawking… Cecil… They are a fine bunch of lads that make music with a little twitch. Come forth and join the adventures of ‘Burches Know’.

This is not for the faint hearted, or maybe it is, maybe people who have a faint heart would be better off working on their emotional problems and then revisit the ‘Burches Know’ experience.

Maybe we should stop talking doo doo and get back to the Press Release?

You may have seen Motley on the recent Bliss N Eso Flying Colours Australian tour, where he played to sell out crowds all over aussieland. ‘I couldn’t believe how crazy you aussies can get out here! I am really looking forward to coming back!Burches Know I’m coming back… they really do’ says Motley. After every show on the tour, the crowd demanded an encore… even though he was only the support act.

Motley also came with the goods last year, releasing the ‘Hairy Nandies EP’, which sold in excess of 1200 units on tour alone! The single ‘Save Some Time’ achieved steady rotation on community radio and Triple J.

But that was the past…

Motley is now set to release ‘Burches Know’ with our friends Hash Browne, Bobby Dazzla, Stephen Hawking(equal opportunity pimping spokeman) and the infamous Cecil (the original pimp). ‘Burches Know’ is a series of parodies and original material to accompanyMotley’s new single ‘Wayo’. ‘Burches Know’, clearly Motley isn’t taking himself too seriously and with this in mind, the listener shouldn’t either!

‘Me and the label didn’t want to just give the usual single with an extra track or two, Sothink of it as a single CD with a whole bunch of extra shit thrown in!” says Motley.

Motley will be touring the single/release with Vice DMC Champion ‘Zeke’ in Perth, Margaret River and Bunbury in June.

DMC dj championships: state results

DMC dj championships: state results

The first two state winners of the DMC World Dj Championships have been decided.

In NSW reigning champion DJ Skoob took out the NSW state final for the unprecedented third time. DJ Typhonic and DJ What? cut and juggled their way to second and third respectively.

In Melbourne, DJ B.2wo went down a storm, and is generally seen as current Australian champion DJ Perplex’s greatest threat to the title. DJ Osyris finished in second place. DJ Elev8 and DJ Crusador tied for third place.

The ACT finals is on Friday Aug 1 at the Green Room in Phillip with Mexi, Nathan, Maggot Mouf, Dazed & Flawless and Roshambo.

The Western Australian final is also on Aug 1 at Funk Club at The Rosemount Hotel in North Perth, with DJ Dexter (4-time Australian DMC Champion, runner-up 2000 World finals) in attendance.

The Qld final is on Thursday 21st August at The Met in Fortitude Valley with Reason, Ciecmate and Fraksha plus Pure Product.

The grand final is on Saturday 6th September at the Hi Fi Bar in Melbourne.
